How it works

The conference is delivered live using Adobe Connect, an interactive, educational software tool that will work directly in your browser. Once registered, you will be provided with a URL that will grant you access to sessions on the day of the event. Simply choose the sessions you want to attend and view them in a new window on your screen.

Your instructor will be seen in the top right corner and their screen will be shared with you just to the left, so that you can actually see their workflow in real time. A chat box will be available at the bottom right corner of your screen in case you have any questions or comments. Every session will have a Q&A that will allow you to ask questions in real time. Plus, throughout the live sessions, there will be moderators and technicians standing by online to deal with any technical issues you may have. If you are disconnected, simply reboot, and use the URL to get access back into the session.

All you need to do is register, sit back, relax, and learn.

FAQ

Q: What do I need to use Adobe Connect? 

A: All you need is a reliable Internet connection and browser. Adobe Connect works on most Internet browsers. To check system requirements, visit this link. To test your connection, visit this page

Q: Do I need an Adobe Connect plug in to attend sessions?

A: No. You may be prompted to download the Adobe Connect add-on, which you may do so, but it is not required to attend sessions.

Q: Do I need a username and password to log into sessions?

A: No, simply log in as a guest and enter your name so that the Instructor can identify you in the chat if needed. Once you do so, our staff will receive your request to join and will allow you into the session. 

Q: I logged into session, but have not been let in?

A:  Only the instructor, moderator, or tech support staff can allow attendees access into the session. Until access is granted, you will be placed in a waiting room. Attendees are usually granted access into the session five minutes before starting.

Q: What do I do if I get disconnected?

A: Reboot your system, and once you are reconnected to the Internet again, simply use the URL to gain re-entry into the session, logging in as a guest.

Q: What do I do if the instructor is disconnected?

A: If the instructor is disconnected at any time during the session, sit tight while they reboot; it should not take long. You will not be disconnected from the session. Moderators and tech support will be available to answer any questions.

Q: I’m registered, but where are my URLs to the sessions?

A: URLs will all be emailed to you a couple of days before the live event. From there you can pick and choose which sessions you would like to attend once the conference kicks off. 

Q: I want to stream the recording of a session I did not attend, is that possible?

A: Yes, one of the best perks of attending PPW Online is having the flexibility to attend any session you would like live, PLUS have access to recordings of ALL sessions for up to 90 days after the event.

Q: I asked a question and my instructor has not answered me yet.

A: Each instructor will have their own way of answering questions throughout the session. They might answer your questions as they come in via the chat box, or reserve time at the end of each topic as to not to disrupt the flow of the session.
